A classically trained singer, Philip studied the piano, trumpet and harpsichord from the age of 6 and, once his voice finally broke, went on to study French and Music at Nottingham University. After four years working in advertising with AMV BBDO he moved to the BBC where he is currently Head of Marketing for BBC Radio Three & Classical Music. He is a member of Voce Chamber Choir, one of London’s leading chamber choirs, and has performed on Television and Radio. He is also a regular concert-goer with a particular interest in opera. He recently established ‘Classical Cool’, an initiative which aims to make classical music more accessible and appealing to young people. This includes personalised recommendations, group trips to new, innovative concerts and helping audiences understand the benefits classical music can bring.
He is delighted to be involved with Apples & Pears.
